When it comes to your wellness we know that you have lots of questions.  You will find below some questions that we often get asked about our facility and our services.  Please feel free to call us at (913) 901.8699 if you have questions or concerns that we have not addressed below.

How long is a colon therapy session?
Most sessions last about 30 – 40 minutes but you will want to allow about 1 ½  hours for your entire initial visit.  Allow about an hour if you have had colonics before.

What type of system is used?
We use an open system called the Libbe.  If you want to check it out you can visit the manufacturer’s website @ www.colonic.net

How big is the tube? Are they disposable?
The tubes are very small; about the size of a pencil and we only use disposables.

Is the colonic painful?
Colonics are in no way painful.  Some people that have had chronic bowel problems may experience some mild discomfort but no more so that what they have experienced with their existing bowel problems.  If a client has any discomfort, that’s a good indicator that the sessions are truly necessary.  When this is the case the client notices a continual decrease in the discomfort as they do their follow-up appointments and an increase in the ease and frequency in which they have bowel movements.

Is there an odor?
NOPE!  Really, there is no odor.  The equipment that we use has an exhaust that take care of any stinky poo !!

Are there any contraindications?
Yes, there are some pre-existing situations that would prevent you from receiving a treatment?  Please call the office for more information @ 913.901.8699

How should I prepare for a session?

How often should I do colonics?
The number of sessions needed varies from person to person.  The average client finds that they have done a thorough cleanse after anywhere from 6-10 sessions, so we recommend 2-3 session per week until you reach your desired results.  Because of the progressive nature of colonics keeping your sessions close together initially is very important.  After the initial series is completed then you start a maintenance regimen.

How often should I do maintenance?
Every person is different so maintenance varies from person to person depending on a variety of factors.  Most people do weekly, monthly, or quarterly sessions.  We will assist you in that area when needed.

Can I resume normal activities after my session?
You will be fine to go about the day normally after a session.  However getting rest if possible is ideal as the body is detoxing.  Always drink plenty of water after a session.
